Stefan Hintersteininger is a cellist, composer, arranger and educator based in Vancouver (Canada), recognized for his versatility across numerous musical styles, from classical repertoire to new and improvised music. He regularly collaborates as an additional musician with prestigious ensembles such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and Vancouver Opera OrchestraHe was also a member of theErato Ensemble and Vancouver Intercultural Orchestra, and he is co-founder of the Ethos Collective, a sextet dedicated to improvised and contemporary music. In addition to his performing activities, Hintersteininger composes and arranges for various ensembles and teaches music.
