Randi was born and raised in Valdres, Norway. She began playing the cello at the age of five at the local music school. Now living in Oslo, she studies in the Young Talents program at the Barratt Due Institute of Music, under Ole Eirik Ree.
Randi has participated in numerous concerts and productions, including at the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet and the Oslo Concert Hall, as a chamber musician and orchestral member. She also participated in the FRAMR talent program at the Hemsing Chamber Music Festival, where she gave several concerts.
