



Hedda RH Dyrnes began playing the cello in her music school's children's string orchestra in the autumn of 2007. From 2009 to 2012, she was a junior member of the Lofoten Vesterålen Orchestra (LVO) and played in various temporary orchestras. She became a full member of the LVO in 2012, remaining until her secondary school graduation. She was then accepted into the young talent group of her high school's music program, where she remained until the spring of 2016. She performed as a soloist in the "Unge Talenter" (Young Talents) project with the LVO in 2016 and 2018.
Hedda joined the Sortland String Orchestra (Sortland Strykeorkester) as a soloist and section leader from 2012 to 2019. She was accepted into the NUSO (Norwegian Youth Symphony Orchestra) in 2017 and for the period 2018-2019; she also participated in the University of Tromsø's Young Talents Programme, where she studied under Audun Sandbakken.
In 2022, she became a member of the jazz collective "Det Annet Kjønn" (The Other Kind), based in Stavanger.
Hedda is a junior member of the Cellolyd in Lofoten festival team (a cello festival created by Lisa Holstad, her former high school teacher).
She held the position of section leader during the Mozart Requiem concert given by her high school under the direction of Peter Szilvay in March 2022.
From 2019, just after her baccalaureate, to 2023, Hedda pursued a degree in musical performance at the University of Stavanger, where she studied with Liv Opdal.
She was again a soloist with the LVO in February 2023, performing the first and second movements of Shostakovich's Cello Concerto No. 1.
In 2024 Hedda undertakes a year of advanced studies in musical performance at the University of Stavanger.

“I instantly fell in love with the sound, and couldn't forget about it after trying it for the first time. I had to travel back two weeks earlier than planned to try it again and take it with me. It is very easy to play and has a rich and big sound when I need it! »
