Yann Besson is a French luthier, a graduate of the Mirecourt school. Graduating in 1996 with a distinction as rare as it is well-deserved, Yann continued his training in renowned workshops around the world. Building on experience gained in prestigious lutherie workshops in France and Hong Kong, he restored violins, violas, and cellos for nearly a decade in London at Frederick Phelps Ltd. During this time, Yann Besson developed his own style and finally established his own workshop in 2002. Since then, his instruments have graced the stages of international artists worldwide.
